about me.
hi there! my name is connor! get to know me and how I fell in love with photography.

hi! im connor.
It all started back in high school. I needed to find an elective credit for a "arts" class and the only one left to choose from was journalism. If it hadn't been for this class, I would have never thought to find love in photography. I spent 2 years on the schools newspaper as a photojournalist and covered a wide variety of events from sports to spelling bees. I eventually got bored with taking pictures of high school events mainly because I realized that I could use my skills in photography to fill my creative outlet.
Through great friends and determination, I began my journey in portrait photography. I worked alongside brands like Colorado Instagram and Boxed Water to market new products with models. and directly got to be involved in the creative process. I took this knowledge and worked with local Coloradans in editorial photoshoots and portfolios, where I really got to narrow in on my photographic style.

It wasn't until sophomore year of college (go rams!) that I branched out from commercial photography and moved into more personal works. Its here where I learned how to incorporate props, colors, and worked side by side with local make up artists and stylists.

After a few years of personal photography and one off commercial shoots, I took a hiatus to re-center and re-focus my standards as a photographer.

Photography for me is a unique opportunity to stop time, and capture people when they feel their best. I use a lot of varying pops of color to draw viewers in, and work with bright contrasting styles to create a cinamatic and grand look to my images.
Though, the best part about being a photographer hands down, is getting to know, work, and even become friends with those I shoot with. As a photographer, my job is not just to snap a pic and edit it, my job also includes making sure the subject(s) feel the most comfortable, safe, and confident.

You can expect a photoshoot with me to feel like grabbing a drink with an old friend, I like to keep things light hearted, collaborative, and open. You will most likely be laughing at my crazy positions to get the right shot, but know that I am the photographer that will stand on a cliffs edge if it means capturing your perfect shot.
